I want to allow VLAN full access to the server. Currently, the switch ports are configured for link aggriation and are in access mode for VLAN I've tried all sorts of combinations and procedures, but have not had any luck getting everything working properly. It was a couple years back or I'd offer bacs4 teaming more bacs4 teaming. I think that you have to set them both into teaming mode somehow then you can create a new group.
Try something like that. I know it's been a while, but any idea how to set them in team mode?

Bacs4 teaming, thanks, that's pretty much as I interpreted it, but where I'm a little hazy is with WTF the actual real-world difference would be in bacs4 teaming implementation I'm dealing with, where both NICs plug directly into one of our reasonably recent core switches? Not really sure what your question is.

No special config bacs4 teaming the switch. You'd need to do this even if you teamed via broadcom software As dbeato said, update the NIC firmware and turn off virtual machine queues as well to avoid issues around that.
