Keep me posted. It crashes immediately. It does not even give a name of the exe. I'm not sure why that is happening unless it's because of other missing chipset drivers or the file is corrupted.
Does it install in Safe Mode? I cannot download either of those two that they link to for power management.
On another computer, one that has 7zip or winrar right click the exe file of the ATI driver and select Extract to. I recently upgraded to the Debian 2. Hibernating now works fine, both from the command line and kpowersave. To enable it I set the kernel to use the swap partition, hda3for hibernation by adding.
As for suspending suspend to RAMthe machine isn't currently on the list of machines known to s2ram. I did the experiments recommended with s2ram, and found that s2ram -f -a 1 produces the desired result. It needs -a 1 to reinitialise the console correctly; without it, the video mode isn't set properly for the console.
